Day 3

Today started out with Quinn and Bekah being home sick from school. This tummy bug going around right now is not very nice :(
After a bit of a lazy morning, I bundled the kids up and with Sue and Carter in tow, we went to Riverside Park in Preston.
Our goal today was to get some nice pictures of the kids and Sue feeding the chickadees!
These are some of the shots taken on the boardwalk around 10:30 am.

Carter got one to land on the tips of his fingers. All three kids stood so still and quiet!
This chickadee was having a good look at Sue before it took some yummy seed and nuts!

Coming in for a landing!

Taking off!

After spending about 30 mintues on the birds, we took the kids over to the playground area. Its so neat to watch kids learn how to do things while wearing full snow gear, boots, hats, mits, coats, snowpants. Even the simplest things become huge obstacles. They made it through the snow and had a great time on the creative.

Carter making room to sell some icecream. Anyone want some?
Bekah coming out of the tube slide head first! The look of glee on her face was priceless!Bekah climbing up to talk into the playground P.A. System! It was a mighty tough climb but we made it. Quinn and Carter in the ring climbI want to come too! Bekah struggle with the last few rings, but Sue was there to lend a helping hand and get her to the top!All in all it was a great day! The kids got some fresh cold air (which really helped them feel better) They got to feed the birds and feel them land on their hands. They played in the snow and on the equipment and tired themselves out!

I really dont' know which shot is my favourite for this day of photos. I would have to say that this one takes the cake. Its been fun but now its time to go! You can see my reflection in her eyes!
