Weekend photos

Saturday afternoon we decided to take Quinlan to see the new movie Monsters vs Aliens, before his whole world imploded around him taking us all with him. Eric, myself, Alexander, Quinlan and Bekah headed to the movies while Madison hung out with her friend (her choice)While the movie was enjoyed by Quinlan, it didn't keep Bekah's attention at all. It wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be :(
After the movie we went to Eric's Uncle John and Aunt Savi's home to help them rake their yard. The leaves that had fallen after the first snowfall needed to be cleaned up. We took a dozen doughnuts and got to work.
We spent a wonderful time with them and stayed for pizza dinner (thank you again Aunt Savi, Uncle John, Danielle and Khem!!!!
Bekah and Uncle John had a great time playing with the furby toy!
Here are a few pictures I took while we were outside. I took many more but didn't check the camera settings and it was on manual and all the pictures taken that way were WAY over exposed!!!
Sunday afternoon I took Quinn and Bekah over to visit with my mum. We had a good visit with lots of hugs and cuddles. While mum had some visitors stop in, Liz and I took the kids and Mason for a walk in the woods behind her house. I let the kids play in the same pond I used to catch frogs in! The weather was gorgeous for a nice walk.

I actually got some nice photo's of Liz's dog Mason, who almost never sits still.

I also took some more shots of mum's flowers in her house. I really love the daisies! They came up looking almost 3D like.

Friday Shots

These pictures were so fun to take!!!! Pudge was trying really hard to eat this lollipop (that he stole licks from when the 2 yr old had it). Sue was trying to get him to lick it instead of trying to bite the whole thing. It took him about 10 minutes to finish it, but we got some excellent shots of his attempts at eating it.

Early Morning Beauty!

This is the beautiful sunrise that I woke up to this morning! The first shot I took out my bathroom window. The colours were absolutely stunning! The second shot was taken out my livingroom window on our main floor, about 3 minutes after the first one. Its amazing just how much the light and colour changes in a matter of seconds!
I look forward to taking more pictures today as we get out and about with the kids!

Things you find in...

...downtown Galt! Shannon dropped Madison off Saturday afternoon around 4 pm and asked what I was up too. My answer was NOTHING! She told me to grab my camera gear and lets go! Just the two of us, with our cameras, no kids going and taking pictures! It was a blast!!! We spent 2 hours outside in Galt taking pictures of various things. On building in particular captured both our eyes and we both took a zillion photos of the darn thing! After our long walk around Galt, with fingers frozen, we called Eric and met him with the kids at East Sides for Supper! We had an excellent meal! The kids were very well behaved!
Here are some photos I took while on our walk. I did shoot some in black and white and I am pleasantly surprised at how well they turned out!
Thanks again Shannon for a great afternoon and for letting me pick your brain about photography things!

Monday and Tuesday shots

Yesterday I went over to mum's house with the girls ( Madison and Bekah) as my godmother and mum's cousin, Carol and Charles were coming. I was able to snap a picture of Mum sitting with Bekah. Its a bit grainy as it was taken with my iphone.
Next I snuck in a few pictures of Liz's cat Abe, as he was relaxing in the recliner!

These shots were taken today as Raven was playing ball with Alexander at the end of the driveway. She would jump extremely high in the air and catch the ball! The shot with only her belly in it was an accident but ended up looking good. Raven lunged after the ball was thrown poorly towards me and I snapped the shot and fell backwards lol. I like Alexander in the background :) Once she got the ball she would play tug of war with it. This is her trying very hard to pull Alexander over.

Quinlan has a peach tree that we planted last year. Its already starting to bud. I played with the macro feature on my new lense and I am pleasantly surprised.

Then I got some shots of the little guy having some fun in the swing.

It was an beautiful day today and we spent about 6 hours total outside enjoying the kids and the weather!

Thank you Gillian for the crafts this morning. Thank you Sue for spending the day with me.

It was a great St.Patrick's day and Birthday for my littest daycare girl. ( I took pictures of her but haven't edited them yet :( )

Some St. Paddy Party Pics and Mum update

As the title suggests I will have some pictures up from the St. Patrick's day party that Eric and I went to last night at our good friends house. Sue and Carl threw a great party and we had a wonderful time out (even if it was just across the road !!)
After a very long day with some events happening in my life we were expecting, I managed to carve out my potato for the competition at the party. I stuck to an irish theme and even got it
"painted" and sealed with lacre.

This is my potato beside Eric's potato (no you aren't seeing things..he didn't get a chance to do anything with his)

Now onto the Mum update.
Mum has had a bit of a set back the last couple of days with some pain in her right groin area. This is making it extremely hard for her to walk and get comfortable. The Doctor has told us its due to the tumors growing in her abdomen and causing issues with her leg. Mum is relatively comfortable when on her pain meds every 3-4 hours.
We had a family meeting tonight to discuss various things, like the cars, house, and funeral plans have been written down.
Mum is very strong and is still very determined to fight this with every ounce of who she is! We are her soldiers backing her up all the way. I am very proud to be her daughter and to have her as my mum. I can only hope that when my time comes that I am every ounce as strong as she is!
Please continue to keep her in your prayers as we pray for a miracle to destroy the disease that is rapidly taking over her body.

Bunch of pictures from the last couple weeks!

These are some random shots from the last couple of weeks that I have missed posting! Shannon thank you for giving me the idea to try an eyelash shot. I thought what a great opportunity to try it...Quinn is Sleeping!
Any kids you see in my photos that I haven't named are my daycare kids and I won't be posting names on them. I do however, have their parents permission to post their pictures for my project 365 as my followers are family and friends.
Hope you enjoy the managerie of shots. Sorry it took so long for me to have time to edit and post photos!
