Snow Storm 2007

Dec 16th was the snowiest day the kids have ever seen. Bekah and Quinlan were looking out the window watching the snow just come down.
Fortunately for me Bekah and Quinlan had both been sick and I was tending to them, so I didn't have to help shovel it all away!
This is our driveway about 4 hours into the storm.

Santa Pictures

On December 9th, we took the kids to the Toyota Kids Christmas party. As always we dressed them up and got them ready for the Santa pictures. This year we actually got Bekah to sit on his lap and actually talk to him. She sat still for her single photo and then again for the group photo. The problem this year was getting her to smile... she decided this goofy pose was what she was going with this year. This child really is a character! Alexander, Madison and Quinlan took really nice pictures this year too.
After the photo session we got to see Cirque Sublime! It was a wonderful afternoon out!

Toyota Christmas Party

Saturday November 24th, was the adult christmas party for Toyota. We sat with our good friends Trevor and Carrie, as well as Joe and Regina, and Shane and Deborah. We had a wonderful time, good food, good wine, good company and good music. None of us managed to come home with any of the nice door prizes, but Eric and I came home with the table centre piece for a third year in a row!

Here are a couple pictures from the night.

I am already looking forward to next years!

Medieval Times Toronto

On Saturday November 10th, Eric got the notion to take our friends Trevor, Carrie and Brinn Murrell to Medieval Times. They had never been, and since we were working on the bathroom again it seemed a good way to thank them for all their help ( and a quick way out of working on the bathroom more!)
So we loaded up two vehicles and headed to the Castle in Toronoto for the 7:30 dinner and show. Alexander has been before but no one else had! Quinlan and Rebekah were very excited to go and see Knights and horses!
We arrived 25 minutes before the show, did the ritual photos and etc and then found our seats. Bekah was in awe of the whole thing. She found a flag at her spot and when the Red and Yellow knight came out she was cheering away. She actually stopped calling him Red and Yellow night and started calling him "my knight"... her cheer was "GO MY KNIGHT, GO MY KNIGHT!"
Quinlan seemed to enjoy himself, but I think it was a bit overwhelming for him. He didn't cheer much but he did watch intently. Madison, Brandon and Xander were right into it as well. They were the loudest in our section.
Trevor, Carrie and Brinn sat at the end of the table and it was hard for me to get a good shot of them. I did manage to get one with Carrie and Brinn in it!
The food was good. Bekah was so funny as soon as she was given something she was gobbling it up. Eating with your hands all night is fun!
After the show we were able to meet our Knight, he signed our crowns and books! We also got to meet the Falconer, with his 2 year old Falcon. The kids were totally amazed at this beautiful bird. They asked him lots of questions about her and his training.
All in all it was a wonderful time with good friends, good food and a good show.
Thank you Trevor, Carrie and Brinn for coming with us to the show.

Halloween

This year we decided to Trick or Treat in my Mums Neighbourhood. Madison, Quinlan and Rebekah got ready and off we went to Gramma's house. Alexander is old enough to not want to trick or treat with his old mum and dad anymore. He wasn't dressed before we left and I have no pictures of him :( He did meet up with us at the end for a ride home with his friends.
We bought a new wagon for the occasion as Quinlan gets tired very quickly and they are just too big now for the double stroller.
Some of the houses did a great job of decorating this year. There were a couple with some animatronics and lights and sounds.
Madison dressed up as a devil, Quinlan was a dragon and Rebekah was a pumpkin. They all picked out their costumes themselves. Bekah was so happy to be a pumpkin. She wore her costume all day, especially when it was time to take her brother to school.

Norm came with us this year and took some really nice photos for us. It was a great night out for the kids.

I had also made some cakes for Madison and Quinlan for their halloween parties at school.

Alexander had Rice Crispie squares for his treat.

Friends

Bekah and Molly have been "friends and neighbours" since they were very little. The first week that Bekah was home from the hospital, we went to a Tupperware party at Molly's house. This was their first tupperware party!
We took a picture to capture the moment! Bekah is a very very tiny 3 week old beside Molly who is 5 months.
Today Molly was at our house for a few hours. The girls had a blast outside on the trampoline. I tried to get a picture of them laying down side by side but the sun was in their eyes and they just wouldnt' stay still long enough. So this is what I was able to get! They are exactly the same size now. Its amazing how far they have both come. It is a nice comparison!

PUMPKIN PATCH!

On Sunday October 21 Eric, the kids and I went to Stroms for an afternoon of pumpkin activities. Poppa Norm and uncle Liam came as well to take some picutres.
We wandered into the pumpkin patch and picked up a few pumpkins. Bekah was pushing the wagon on the way out yelling "HEAVE, HEAVE!" Then we went to the pre picked section and had some fun with all the pumpkins! Bekah and Quinn were very excited and had a blast. The kids were climbing all over, laying on them and even trying to pick up some very heavy pumpkins.
After we choose the pumpkins and paid for them, we headed off to the corn maze. It is on 5 acres of land. It was fun running around the maze trying to find the 9 clues and to win a prize at the end. It took us an hour to complete the maze. It was a lot of walking but we made it. It was a wonderful afternoon out for the whole family.
