A bit of Brightness-Day 14 (Monday Jan 24)

Yesterday, Sunday Jan 23 ended up being a day that I napped... a LOT, watched movies with the kids and Eric, and was just a general lazy bum.  I did take a picture with my iphone, but it was at 11pm and wasn't very good.  So lets just say I didn't do one.
To make up for the absence of yesterdays photo, I got creative today.  A friend of mine Jennifer McDougall (sister in law to my BFF Shannon Vahl) does project 365 and had seen this idea done on another blog.  So I decided today would be a good day to attempt it and see what I could do.

These photos are done with water and oil and a glass bowl or pie plate. Colourful paper underneath the raised bowl, natural lighting add to the photo.  Here are mine and Eric's favourites.

To the vet to the vet to the vet vet vet -Day 13 (Saturday Jan 22)

Vet day arrived for Skylar and Raven.  Liz came to help me take the hyper black lab and spunky Kitty to get their annual shots.
Raven is way TOO friendly at times and wants to play with everything that moves....although she forgets that she is a big dog and may hurt others.  I need help to keep her calm so I can focus on everything else.
When we arrived at the vet, there were 4 dogs in the waiting room.   I had to ask for Raven to be put in a room where she couldn't see them.  She was so HYPER.
Skylar just sat in his carrier and cried to get let out.

While we waited for the vet to come in, Skylar explored the room.  His favourite spot to sit was on top of the scales.  He watched the window in the door like a hawk, waiting for it to open.  This picture is taken with my iphone (couldn't take my camera with me) but still shows him sitting pretty and watching.
This is about all I was able to get Saturday for photos.  It ended up being a day of running around with my older children.

Sleeping like a baby-Day 12 (Friday Jan 21)

I wish I could just lay down and fall asleep like a baby.  Bum up in the air and comfortable.  Evan was so tired, that he woke up from his nap to re-adjust himself to this position and fall back to sleep.  On a cold snowy day sleeping like this for 3 hours would be heaven! 

Stretched out -Day 11 ( Thursday Jan 20)

I know another cat picture, but lately he's been my inspiration. He is so unique in colour, markings and personality!  I just have to shoot pictures when he is all cute.  This is his I am sleeping but you may pet my belly pose.  This silly cat LOVES to have his belly rubbed.  He also LOVES to sleep on Eric's computer chair.  I think his front paws crossed like he is hugging himself is so sweet

Keeping Busy - Day 10 (Wednesday Jan 19)

When you are 16 months old, playing with "toys" just doesn't always do it for you....

While I appreciate that my Mud room is now very tidy, unfortunately my livingroom got very cluttered.

Evan made sure he placed every boot where he thought it would look good.

He is so proud of himself.  Picture not shown ... the lunch bag and the mate to my red "wellie" in the shower!  They needed to be cleaned I guess!

Sounds of Silence (Day 9)

Quinlan has been going to his ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) specialist since he was 11 months old.  He goes every 3 months for a check-up, more if he has any issues with his ears.
Today was his winter check-up.
He has perfect hearing, his tubes look great, and no infections.... He goes again in May before summer swimming starts.
While Quinn was in the sound booth doing his hearing test, I decided to take some pictures.  Every time he hears a sound he is to "wave" through the window at the tester.   He looks SO serious in the following pictures, but he is really just doing what he is supposed to.

Crazy Cat (Day 8)

This is for Yesterday Monday January 17 2011.  I forgot to post again, but I did get a quick photo.

Typical school mornings are rushed with many fights over the bathroom.  It was Quinn's turn to shower.  I turned the Shower on for him and found that Quinn wasn't getting in like I expected.  He had to wait for Skylar to get in first!  This is one crazy cat.  He actually raced Quinn to the shower.   I have yet to see him go all the way in but I think this is something that will happen very soon.
