Halloween

This year we decided to Trick or Treat in my Mums Neighbourhood. Madison, Quinlan and Rebekah got ready and off we went to Gramma's house. Alexander is old enough to not want to trick or treat with his old mum and dad anymore. He wasn't dressed before we left and I have no pictures of him :( He did meet up with us at the end for a ride home with his friends.

We bought a new wagon for the occasion as Quinlan gets tired very quickly and they are just too big now for the double stroller.
Some of the houses did a great job of decorating this year. There were a couple with some animatronics and lights and sounds.

Madison dressed up as a devil, Quinlan was a dragon and Rebekah was a pumpkin. They all picked out their costumes themselves. Bekah was so happy to be a pumpkin. She wore her costume all day, especially when it was time to take her brother to school.

Norm came with us this year and took some really nice photos for us. It was a great night out for the kids.

I had also made some cakes for Madison and Quinlan for their halloween parties at school.

Alexander had Rice Crispie squares for his treat.

Friends

Bekah and Molly have been "friends and neighbours" since they were very little. The first week that Bekah was home from the hospital, we went to a Tupperware party at Molly's house. This was their first tupperware party!
We took a picture to capture the moment! Bekah is a very very tiny 3 week old beside Molly who is 5 months.
Today Molly was at our house for a few hours. The girls had a blast outside on the trampoline. I tried to get a picture of them laying down side by side but the sun was in their eyes and they just wouldnt' stay still long enough. So this is what I was able to get! They are exactly the same size now. Its amazing how far they have both come. It is a nice comparison!

PUMPKIN PATCH!

On Sunday October 21 Eric, the kids and I went to Stroms for an afternoon of pumpkin activities. Poppa Norm and uncle Liam came as well to take some picutres.

We wandered into the pumpkin patch and picked up a few pumpkins. Bekah was pushing the wagon on the way out yelling "HEAVE, HEAVE!" Then we went to the pre picked section and had some fun with all the pumpkins! Bekah and Quinn were very excited and had a blast. The kids were climbing all over, laying on them and even trying to pick up some very heavy pumpkins.

After we choose the pumpkins and paid for them, we headed off to the corn maze. It is on 5 acres of land. It was fun running around the maze trying to find the 9 clues and to win a prize at the end. It took us an hour to complete the maze. It was a lot of walking but we made it. It was a wonderful afternoon out for the whole family.

Madison Turns 9

Madison turned 9 today, how time flys. She started the day by opening up a gift from Alexander, Quinlan and Rebekah. It was a monkey webkinz that she has been wanting for a long while now. She was so Happy. Eric and I gave her an IOU to redo her bedroom for her...gone are the fishes and turtles :)

After supper of Tuna casserole (her choice) Gramma, Nanna, Dbis, Megan, Rich, Grampa came over for some cake. I made the cake in about and hour and half this afternoon, as we had a minor flooding issue in our kitchen this morning. I totally forgot to get licorice for the strings, but all in all I think it turned out quite well.

Madison got another webkinz, the one for the Month of October..he is a cute little frog, she also got pants, a skirt, a couple shirts, a 3rd paper folding art project and a gift certificate for Michaels to get scrapbook stuff! She went to bed a very happy young lady!

One more year and I have 2 kids in the double digits!

Camping

This is a slide show of our camping trip to MacGregor Point in Port Elgin. The kids had fun while we were away and we got some nice snap shots of the trip. Too bad the sun wasn't out while were at the beach.
This is my first attempt at adding a slide show and it should have been posted in the Camping blog down further. As I get more aquainted with this program things will look better.

A Nice Sunday Afternoon!

Quinn, Rebekah, Samantha, Nikki, D'bis, Mason, Snickers and I decided to go for a nice long walk near the River. After Dbis got stuck in the mud it was time to go to gramma's house to wash the Dogs and Dbis off. While the adults were doing that, the kids decided to play in the pond and see if Gramma had any frogs left. Samantha and Bekah were pointing out where the frog was for Quinn to grab.

Here they are with their "catch of the day!" also Quinn getting a froggy kiss!

Bekah has gone from just looking and maybe touching to being able to hold the frog. Quinn is so at home with picking up the frogs and catching them bare handed and with a net.

It was a fun way to spend a nice Sunday afternoon.

Camping

On Monday August 20th, the kids and I went camping with my sister Megan. We went for 2 nights. We went to MacGregor point in Port Elgin. The weather wasn't the greatest for being on the beach but it didn't rain either.

The boys had a tent for just them and the girls went into the bigger tent with Megan and I.

The Park was beautiful! The kids had fun down by the lake taking in the views. Rebekah and Quinn did very well camping for their very first time. I think they were a bit afraid of the public bathrooms but it was an adventure.
