Some St. Paddy Party Pics and Mum update

As the title suggests I will have some pictures up from the St. Patrick's day party that Eric and I went to last night at our good friends house. Sue and Carl threw a great party and we had a wonderful time out (even if it was just across the road !!)
After a very long day with some events happening in my life we were expecting, I managed to carve out my potato for the competition at the party. I stuck to an irish theme and even got it
"painted" and sealed with lacre.

This is my potato beside Eric's potato (no you aren't seeing things..he didn't get a chance to do anything with his)

Now onto the Mum update.
Mum has had a bit of a set back the last couple of days with some pain in her right groin area. This is making it extremely hard for her to walk and get comfortable. The Doctor has told us its due to the tumors growing in her abdomen and causing issues with her leg. Mum is relatively comfortable when on her pain meds every 3-4 hours.
We had a family meeting tonight to discuss various things, like the cars, house, and funeral plans have been written down.
Mum is very strong and is still very determined to fight this with every ounce of who she is! We are her soldiers backing her up all the way. I am very proud to be her daughter and to have her as my mum. I can only hope that when my time comes that I am every ounce as strong as she is!
Please continue to keep her in your prayers as we pray for a miracle to destroy the disease that is rapidly taking over her body.

Bunch of pictures from the last couple weeks!

These are some random shots from the last couple of weeks that I have missed posting! Shannon thank you for giving me the idea to try an eyelash shot. I thought what a great opportunity to try it...Quinn is Sleeping!
Any kids you see in my photos that I haven't named are my daycare kids and I won't be posting names on them. I do however, have their parents permission to post their pictures for my project 365 as my followers are family and friends.
Hope you enjoy the managerie of shots. Sorry it took so long for me to have time to edit and post photos!

Finally an update...

....Mum is HOME!!!!
I brought her home on Monday morning/afternoon (around noon). She seems to be doing well. Getting more rest at home then at the hospital.
Our friend Karen was able to come over yesterday and wash and cut her hair for her! I know that this made a world of difference for my mum. To feel clean and pretty (even if its just hair) makes a huge impact.
We have many appointments in the coming weeks but things are finally moving along well and we can all get on with what has to be done and get mum healthy again!
Thank you to everyone who has been thinking of us and praying for us all! It means a lot to us! Please continue to keep my mum in your prayers, every bit helps. The positive thoughts go a long way on the road to recovery.

I will be posting pictures as soon as possible. I have been using the camera to capture things...almost everyday..some days its way to late to get anything decent!

Technical difficulties

Since I am having issues uploading photos to my blog tonight there won't be any posted until tomorrow morning sometime!
For some reason I am getting Errors just at the end of the upload. Lets hope its running smoother in the morning

Flowers

Finally after some fancy foot work, I was able to get some images to upload to blogger today. Not really sure what the issues were, but I know some other people were frustrated last night as well.

Here are some photos taken of the flowers in Mum's hospital room yesterday. The Gerbra Daisy is from the flowers on the altar at church yesterday. It was mum's week for flowers. The rest are from people coming to visit. Her room looks like a little green house. Its so beautiful and uplifting to see all the bright colours and beautiful flowers :)

Shannon Has tagged me to fill out this random facts about me so here I go!

1. While many people see me write with my right hand, I am actually a total Ambidextrous. I play baseball with 2 gloves. Depending on which hand I am needed to pitch with I can switch.
When I was little I would colour the left page of a book with my left hand and the right side with my right hand!

2. From the time I could talk I told my mother that I wanted to grow up and be a mommy. I wanted to have 6 children. I have settled on 4 kids and 2 dogs (numbers still work out I think :) )

3. I HATE raisins and Jellybeans with a PASSION!!!

4. I took Registered Nursing in college but left with 1 year left to have Madison and never went back. I don't plan to either. I am happy being a stay at home mom who does regional daycare.

5. I can play almost any instrument I get my hands on and I have perfect pitch. Because of this I expose my children to many different types of music. They LOVE it all :)

Okay now I get to tag some people

Rachel
Andrea
Tracy Farrow-Hawk
Tracy Lynch
Heather
Have fun and cheers.

More catching up on photos

....what can I say its what the title says Catch up on photos. On family day we went with Sue and Carl and the boys up to their trailer on Arran lake to make sure it survived the winter. We had a great day outside walking around the park and checking things out. The kids were happy to be running around after the 2 1/2 hour drive. On the way home we saw the most gorgeous sunset. I was able to snap photos while Eric was driving. I captured it in stages as the sun set behind the clouds. The last photo is my favourite with the reflections in the ice on the farmers field!

These icy pictures are of a very neat ice drop in a wheelbarrow. Wyatt put the wheelbarrow under a drip in his back yard and it formed this. We loved looking at all the"crystal" formations in the ice.
